A double shaft seal by RM Support Print E-mail

A double shaft seal is “built –up” of two independently working seals and it is not cooled by the lubrication oil used in the compressor package, but has his own cooling system with a RM-Buffer fluid system. In case the primary seal fails the buffer fluid will leak into the compressor and a pressure switch or level indicator will give an alarm. The back-up seal will take over the sealing and the compressor continues working. A production stop can be planned and the seal can be changed.

A double shaft seal was developed by RM Support, the Netherlands together with Eagle Burgmann, the Netherlands. RM Support has extensive knowledge and experience with operation between the main parts of the compressor unit, maintaining and upgrading the compressors units.
